HI

I'm Dave from Hartland, MI. I'm 41, been modelling for years. Prefer 1/16 ragon and Tamiya figures. I've done maybe 10 or more.
Working on 2 right now.

I have 3 Heng Longs

1 Tiger I painted in Winter whitewash
1 Tiger painted for battle of Kursk (non - working)
1 Stug III painted for Eastern Front

I also painted an M26 Perching for my brother in Law.

If anyone knows a place I can get the Heng long repaired or know of someone who could do it, please let me know.  Looking forward to my first event.

Two of the Heng Longs work great. The one that isn't working does nothing.
I put in a fully charged battery and turn it on and it does nothing. Should have the blinking headlights at the start, but I don't even get that. I am not an electronics person in the least so I am not really the one to take it apart and investigate. The battery doesn't quyite fit well for some reason and I'm wondering if the wiring may have been pulled free when removing it the last time it worked....

Dave,

Sounds like you need to open the tank up and look for broken wires or solder joints to the on/off switch or to the MFU board. Its not hard to do if you haven't taken it apart already.

David,

Welcome to the DTC & Forum

Please post any questions and tell us about your ideas. Remember no question is dumb, if you don't ask you won't get an answer.

Looking forward to you sharing your ideas along with Tips & Techniques from your experience with modeling. Would be nice to see some pictures of your figures and you doing an article on how to paint figures.

Thanks again and look forward to seeing you on the battlefield

Thanks for the welcome...

Looking forward to meeting some new people who love history and modelling/Rc as much as I do.

I'll have to look into getting some pics online. I'm pretty proud of the figures I've painted. I have tons of tips as well.

As I posted in my intro, I'm not much of amn electronics, or computer person, so bear with me. I'll try to get pics online as soon as I can.

Dave, Welcome to DTC and our group, we're glad to have you. You'll find, as mentioned here already, that we have many people of varied backgrounds and talents. Please don't be concerned about asking questions, someone will be able to assist you, and if not we've got other options available to try to find the correct answer for your questions. Try to post some of your figure painting and tips, I'm sure we could all use the help in that area too!

Sounds like you're close too, trapped between Flint and Brighton/Wixom! We've got a couple of guys that are good with the HL tanks, as you've heard, and you're located between them so don't hesitate to ask for help.

We look forward to meeting you in the near future.

Thanks again for choosing DTC,

Any volunteers to get the HL Tiger back into battle condition?  I can head out to either Flint or Wixom anytime.

Thanks

Dave
